Ghazzī reports on his books: خلّف كتباً حسنة كثيرة اشتراها جملة الشيخ اسماعيل النابلسي Furthermore, al-Būrīnī reports in the biography of Ismāʽīl b. Aḥmad al-Nābulusī that the latter would have purchased a large part of the immense library from Ibn Muzallaq's estate for 800 gold dinars. Then, after chosing the best items, he resold the rest again for 800 dinar (one of those is Berlin Sprenger 499, another Gotha orient. A 763 and probably orient. A 211): ولما مات الشيخ بدر الدين بن مزلّق اشترى له كتبه جده المذكور بثمان مئة دينار من الذهب فباع منها بهذا المقدار وأبقى لنفسه محاسنها. ولعمري إنها كتل نفيسة الخط نفيسة الضبط |
