↳ Remarks | Wetzstein calls him (Bruchstück, pp. 113-114) in a handwritten catalogue entry a „famous Antar-reaer and elegant singer“ and continues: „If Rabbâṭ is the author, this work will have to be written in the first quarter of our century since he already lived in Damascus during Napoleon's siege of ʿAkkâ. There he was later dispossessed of his whole fortune by the notorious Gezzâr Pasha and thus forced, in order to sustain his family, to establish a lending library.“
His notes and copies are dated between 1199/1784 and 1252/1836. He is the owner of the following manuscripts: Beirut AUB MS 398.24:T186tA, MS 492.75:I1392YfaA, MS 808:I13dA, MS 963:I13.
